Abstract

With immense pride and enthusiasm, I present to you the inaugural issue of PRAMA, the official journal of the Inter University Centre for Teacher Education (IUCTE), Banaras Hindu University. This journal embodies our commitment to fostering scholarly discourse, innovative research, and reflective practices in the field of teacher education. The launch of PRAMA marks a significant milestone in our journey towards enhancing the quality and relevance of teacher education in India. Aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, this journal aims to serve as a dynamic platform for educators, researchers, and policymakers to share insights, engage in critical dialogues, and contribute to the evolving landscape of education. In this first issue, we feature a diverse array of articles that delve into contemporary challenges and opportunities in teacher education. From explorations of pedagogical innovations to analyses of policy implications, each contribution reflects a deep commitment to advancing educational practices that are inclusive, equitable, and contextually grounded. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the authors, reviewers, and editorial team whose dedication and scholarly rigor have made this publication possible. Your contributions are instrumental in shaping PRAMA into a journal of repute and relevance. As we embark on this scholarly endeavour, I invite you, our readers, to engage with the content, provide feedback, and consider contributing your own research to future issues. Together, let us build a vibrant community dedicated to the continuous improvement of teacher education.
